Grass Fed and Finished Beef

MacGregor beef is 100% grass fed and grass finished. Allowed to graze and grow naturally, with no additional hormones or steroids, on lush pastures and high mountain meadows, our cattle are worth the wait! They are no doubt in high demand and limited quantity, so we encourage you to place your order early. 

Prices Below Are Your ~50% Deposit.  Final Payment is Determined by Hanging Weight.

Purchase & Pickup Policy

Ordering & Deposit

  • A 50% Deposit is required to reserve your beef.  The 50% deposit is the price listed on our website.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If you prefer not to pay online (credit card or PayPal), please contact our office to arrange with cash or check payment.

  • Once your deposit is received, you’ll get a confirmation email from us.

Cut Insturctions

  • After your order is confirmed, ½ and whole orders will be sent Atlas Meat Co.’s Beef Processing Form to specify how you’d like your beef cut and packaged.

  • ¼ beef orders receive a standard cut (no customization).

Processing & Final Payments

  • When your steer is delivered for processing, we’ll be notified of the final hanging weight.

  • You’ll receive a bill for the remaining balance based on this weight (minus your deposit).

  • You’ll have 10 days to make your final payment to MacGregor Ranch. If not received, your order will be forfeited.

  • Processing and packaging fees are paid directly to Atlas Meat Co.

  • Beef pickup is handled according to Atlas Meat Co.’s policies. Orders will be picked up at their Fort Collins location.

Quarter 

1/4 Order – Convenient Small Order

A ¼ Beef Order is a great option for smaller families, first-time buyers, or those with limited freezer space. This option comes with a standard cut selection, thoughtfully portioned to give you a well-rounded variety of steaks, roasts, and ground beef – no cut sheet needed.

It’s the perfect way to enjoy high-quality, grass-fed and finished beef without needing to customize every detail.

What to Expect:

  • Hanging Weight: ~160 lbs on average (may vary ±30 lbs)

  • Final Packaged Weight: ~100 lbs (depending on the animal and your cut selections)

  • Freezer Space: Plan for 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 25 lbs of meat.

Standard Butchering:
Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a standard cutting instruction form. 

Pricing & Payment:
The deposit listed on our website secures your order. The final cost is based on the animal’s hanging weight at the time of processing. Processing fees are paid directly to our processor when you pick up your order.

Half

1/2 Order – Custom Cuts, Great for Families

A ½ Beef Order offers a balance of variety, volume, and customization. It’s ideal for families who want to stock their freezer with high-quality, grass-fed and finished beef and prefer to select their favorite cuts.

With this option, you’ll receive a cutting instruction form to fully customize how your beef is processed – from steaks and roasts to ground beef, bones, and more.

Perfect for families who cook regularly and want the convenience of having premium beef on hand year-round.

What to Expect:

  • Hanging Weight: ~325 lbs on average (may vary ±60 lbs)

  • Final Packaged Weight: ~195 lbs (depending on the animal and your cut selections)

  • Freezer Space: Plan for 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 25 lbs of meat. 

Custom Butchering:
Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a cutting instruction form. MacGregor Ranch will work with our processor to ensure your beef is cut to your specifications. You may also choose to include bones, fat, and organs (offal) in your order.

Pricing & Payment:
The deposit listed on our website secures your order. The final cost is based on the animal’s hanging weight at the time of processing. Processing fees are paid directly to our processor when you pick up your order.

Whole

Whole Beef Order – Fully Custom, Perfect for Families or Groups

A Whole Beef Order gives you full control over every cut – tailored to your preferences. It’s an excellent choice for large families, shared orders between households, or anyone looking to stock a freezer with high-quality beef.

What to Expect:

  • Hanging Weight: ~650 lbs on average (may vary ±120 lbs)

  • Final Packaged Weight: ~400 lbs (depending on the animal and your cut selections)

  • Freezer Space: Plan for 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 25 lbs of meat – nearly fills a 20 cu. ft. upright freezer

Custom Butchering:
Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a cutting instruction form. MacGregor Ranch will work with our processor to ensure your beef is cut to your specifications. You may also choose to include bones, fat, and organs (offal) in your order.

Pricing & Payment:
The deposit listed on our website secures your order. The final cost is based on the animal’s hanging weight at the time of processing. Processing fees are paid directly to our processor when you pick up your order.
