Service Description

Explore the history of the MacGregor Family, their home, and Ranch with our docent lead museum and barn tour. Learn of the family's homesteading endeavors, the lifestyle of a ranching family, and the challenges and progression of this lifestyle. The museum is the former family home and the pieces within were the belongings of the MacGregor Family. The outbuildings and barns are included in the National Register of Historic Places and show how the hard life on the ranch was managed. Be completely immersed in the traditions of the past and the beautiful scenery of Black Canyon, just four minutes outside of Main Street Estes Park. You will be emailed a gate code about one day prior to your tour after scheduling. Please remember to check the email you book with for your code. Please Contact us in Advance for Groups Larger than 8. How to Plan for Your Tour: We are a Ranch! Please wear comfortable clothing; be prepared for rain, for sun, for wind! Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged, especially for the two hour Museum and Barn Tours. You will be walking on and through dirt, grass, and other flooring that is not always even terrain.  Thank you!
