Go beyond the walls of the historic MacGregor home and step into the daily life of a working ranch family on this two-hour docent-guided tour. Explore the MacGregor Family’s legacy, from their homesteading roots to their enduring ranching lifestyle, as you visit both the original family home and the preserved outbuildings that supported ranch life for generations. The MacGregor Home, now a museum, features original furnishings and artifacts that belonged to the family, offering a rich and authentic glimpse into their past. You’ll then venture into the historic barns and outbuildings—listed on the National Register of Historic Places—where you’ll discover how the family met the challenges of ranching in the rugged beauty of Black Canyon. Important Information: You will receive a gate code via email prior to your scheduled tour. Be sure to check the email used at booking. Groups of more than 10: Please contact us in advance to make arrangements. Tour Tips: We are a working ranch! Please dress accordingly and come prepared for Colorado's ever-changing weather—sun, rain, or wind. Wear comfortable walking shoes; you’ll be exploring outdoor areas with uneven terrain including dirt paths, grass, and other natural surfaces.
