The Saga of Black Canyon by local author Glenn Prosser greatly explains the struggles and joys of the MacGregors while homesteading the land just outside of current Estes Park.  His prose can be confused with no one else as he drew from his personal friendship with Muriel MacGregor and others.  Prosser's desire for preservation and retention of the heritage of Estes Park shines through in these pages.
